The fact you've chosen to present this in black and white changes things for me. It feels classically old fashioned, yet the silvery wood almost has a superficial shine and polish. It also makes the chips and decay stand out more.

I like the door and how at first glance it seems like a perfectly symmetrical picture but at a closer look you can see that it's not and holds a lot more to it's appeal to me.
